Seafood for Thought

is a 3D-printed family of bioproducts/systems from seafood waste to improve indoor air quality.

Through a collaborative effort with a material expert, our project involved thorough experimentation and testing of a bio-material derived from seashells. The primary objective was to assess its suitability for 3D printing applications, requiring a meticulous exploration of the material's properties. We delved into the optimization process, meticulously fine-tuning the formulation and composition to achieve optimal printability. Additionally, we examined the quality consistency of the printed structures and closely analyzed the material's structural integrity. This comprehensive assessment allowed us to gain valuable insights into the potential of this innovative bio-material for creating a family of 3D-printed bioproducts aimed at improving indoor air quality.
